England v Ukraine – We Can Do This – Top The Group Time !!

England v Ukraine

England vs Ukraine ERUO 2012

England vs Ukraine ERUO 2012

We can all breath a sigh of relief taking those precious points from Sweden and giving us a better chance of making it through the groups rounds.

Previous Matches
England have won three and lost one of their four previous matches with Ukraine, the last Ukraine winning 1-0 in World Cup 2010 qualifying. England have only conceded two goals in four previous games against Ukraine. Looking good so far, but The Three Lions are winless against EURO hosts in the history of the finals with two defeats (against Italy in 1980 and Sweden in 1992) and a draw (against Portugal in 2004).
On a positive note, England only need a draw to ensure progress to the quarter-finals, whilst Ukraine need a win to make it past the group stages.

Rooney !!!!!

Rooonnneeeyyyyyyy !!!

Another big positive is the fact Wayne Rooney will be released to hopefully penetrate and destroy Ukraine’s defence.

The Men To Take Us To 2012 Glory !!! COME ON ENGLAND !!!

Well it’s that time again.  As I write this, the England squad have arrived in Poland for the 2012 Euros. After the Jubilee, I have three lions proudly displayed on my shirt and heart, but still feel the dreaded anticipation whether we’ll make it through the group rounds. No doubt I’ll also experience the fear all England fans can appreciate – that we’ll be crowded around a screen, our pints momentarily forgotten, biting our nails and knuckles at the prospect of penalties. Never fear, for these cool iPhone apps and this patriotic phone cover will help you through and support England at Euro 2012. So place your hand over your heart and sing for England!

1. Official England Football

I’ll start off with this obvious one. Not just because it’s the official England app, but because it has all the features other similar apps offer, plus it’s free. Track and follow the England camp with live footage from training to the actual matches. Watch press conferences, listen to live commentary, view fixtures, results, tables and social media content. If you’re a true fan, you won’t be without this app.

2.England Wallpaper

One of the top Overall Apps during the 2010 World Cup, this 2012 version is sure to do well among the true England fans. Create your own personalised background or wallpaper, home screen and backdrop with over 230 themes to chose from. There are 40+ fonts, 20 font colours and 18 actual fonts to create thousands of combinations to display on your phone. If you think you’ve created a masterpiece, post on Facebook and Twitter or email to friends. You will need EDGE, Wireless or 3G to download media, as the amount of high-res images available would not be possible to contain in a standalone app. At $1.99, this is a must for any England fans with an iPhone.

3. Flick Kick Football

If you find the game’s build up is too nerve-racking and you don’t want to eat your fingernails, this app is perfect. One of the most highly rated footie game apps on iTunes, this $0.99 app offers loads of fun and will banish your nerves in a test of skill. Bullseye Mode lets you smash targets with footballs – I couldn’t think of better way of using a ball! Arcade Mode is for when it really counts – sweep your finger across the ball to drive, power, of curve the ball past a wall of defenders and goalkeeper to score outrageous goals, dreaming that England will achieve the same when the match finally kicks off.

Watching the game

Everyone knows the pub is the best way to watch the great game with all your mates and fellow supporters, so go to the capital and hit these three hotspots for football and experience an unforgettable atmosphere. If you’re from out of town, you might need to download this app to understand the lingo.

Great Euro Chick and FLAGS at Bar Kick

1. Bar Kick

The name speaks volumes. Situated in Shoreditch High Street, Bar Kick offers big screen TVs and an enormous selection of beers, plus a great roast pork. Nuff said.

Round House - Great Venue

2. The Roundhouse

Situated in Covent Garden and boasting 2 HD projectors, The Roundhouse is known for an electric atmosphere and a great venue to watch sports, especially football. They also serve fantastic food and a selection of ales and lagers.

Sports Zone Bar - Lots of England Support in London

3. Sorted (also known as the The Sports Zone)

Just a short walk from Palmers Green Tube station, this pub was made for football – it has 4 Plasma screens in the toilets so you don’t miss that goal you miss when taking a leak. There are also 2 giant main screens and smaller TVs littered around to watch the game.

So pick up the dog and bone and get your china plates on down the battlecruiser, get a bit Brahms and List, but most importantly of all, watch England score some Sausage Rolls. Like I said, download the app.
